It’s happening!

The Second Annual Green Lake Elementary Dragon Hunt
 

Kick-off is on October 15^th and will run through October 24^th. 

This is one of GLES’ biggest FUNdraisers and we can’t wait to have all of our families to participate!

WHAT: THE GREEN LAKE ELEMENTARY DRAGON HUNT!

Each student will receive a packet and a t-shirt on October 15^th in school.  In this packet will be a Dragon coloring sheet, a Dragon tracking sheet, an FAQ sheet, and a pledge sheet, for tracking donations.  They will decorate their Dragon and hang it somewhere visible to passerbys.  Dragons can be hung anywhere within in the Greek Lake Elementary boundary.  This could include your home, on utility poles, at school, or at local businesses (please ask first!).
Beginning October 16^th, students can walk, roll, hop, or skip around the ‘hood, using their Dragon tracking sheet to write down the names of all the Dragons they find.  They will do this important work until October 24^th.  In the meantime, families and friends can pledge donations for dragons found (or contribute a fixed amount). Once the hunt ends, we will collect the generous donations of friends and family. Students will put ttheir dragon name sheets and any collected money in the provided envelope and return to school by November 1, 2021. 

WHEN: OCTOBER 16 – OCTOBER 24.

HOW: SEARCH THE NEIGHBORHOOD!

Find the dragons by searching the GLES boundary neighborhoods! You can search on foot, using a wheelchair, scooting, biking, running or hopping– any way that you get around the neighborhood!

WHY: TO PROMOTE HEALTH, AND A SENSE OF COMMUNITY WHILE FUNDRAISING

The Green Lake Elementary PTA supports enrichment programs, supplemental staff, instructional assistance, and many other programs and events for our students and staff.
All money raised by the PTA is directly used for school programs and improvement. 

Supporters of our school can sponsor a student with a donation per dragon recorded or you can donate a flat amount. Please click on the CONTRIBUTE button above to do so online.
